1 package phyllo dough (16 oz), thawed

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups walnuts, finely chopped

1 cup pistachios, finely chopped

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup water

1 cup honey

Fresh lemon juice from 1 lemon

1 cup Arborio rice

4 cups milk

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon saffron threads

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

Chopped pistachios for garnish

1 package kunafa dough (16 oz), thawed

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon rose water

Chopped pistachios for garnish

2 cups Medjool dates, pitted

1 cup walnuts

1/2 cup almonds

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1 tablespoon coconut oil

Pinch of salt

Desiccated coconut for rolling (optional)

1 cup tahini (sesame paste)

1/2 cup honey

1 cup flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

2 eggs

1/4 cup milk

Chopped nuts for topping

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

    In a bowl, mix the walnuts, pistachios, sugar, and cinnamon.

      Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with melted butter.

        Layer 8 sheets of phyllo dough in the dish, brushing each layer with butter.

          Spread 1/4 of the nut mixture over the phyllo.

            Layer 4 more sheets of phyllo, brushing with butter, and add another 1/4 nut mixture. Repeat until all nut mixture is used.

              Top with remaining phyllo sheets, brushing each with butter, and cut into diamond shapes.

                Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.

                  Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine water, honey, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.

                    Pour the syrup over the baked baklava. Let it cool before serving.

                                  Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Serve warm or chilled, garnished with chopped pistachios.

                                                        Pour the syrup over the hot kunafa after removing it from the oven. Let it sit for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped pistachios before serving.
