1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

Zest and juice of 1 lemon

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Wooden or metal skewers (if using wooden, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions
 

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, parsley, basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

    Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and let marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature.

      Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

        Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.

          Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and slightly charred.

            Remove from the grill and serve immediately, garnished with extra herbs and lemon wedges if desired.
