Ingredients
  

1 lb chicken tenderloins

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

Cooking spray or a drizzle of olive oil

Instructions
 

Marinate Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken tenderloins with buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.

    Prepare Breading Station: In a shallow dish, mix together flour, salt, and black pepper. In another shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs.

      Bread the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess buttermilk to drip off. Dredge each tenderloin first in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess, then dip in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.

        Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

          Arrange in Air Fryer: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the breaded chicken tenders in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. If needed, cook in batches.

            Cook Chicken Tenders: Spray the tops of the chicken tenders with a little olive oil to promote browning. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C).

              Serve: Remove the chicken tenders from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
