4 medium-sized russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional: Fresh herbs (like parsley or rosemary) for garnish

Instructions
 

Start by washing and peeling the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick for uniformity.

    Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps achieve extra crispiness.

      After soaking, drain and rinse the potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

        In a large bowl, combine the dried potato strips, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat the fries evenly.

          Preheat the air fryer at 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.

            Arrange the seasoned potato strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

              Air fry the potatoes at 380°F (193°C) for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even cooking. Cook until they are golden brown and crispy.

                Once done, remove the fries and let them cool slightly. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve hot.
