Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery; sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender.
Increase heat to medium-high and add the ground meat; cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
Pour in the vegetable broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato purée, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
Toss the cooked pasta with the Bolognese sauce until well coated.
Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
Notes
For a richer flavor, simmer the sauce longer.
