Ingredients

1 lb (450g) chicken breast, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons black pepper, freshly ground

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 bell pepper, sliced (red or green)

1 onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece of ginger, grated

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken, black pepper, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the Stir-Fry: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Cook the Chicken: Add the marinated chicken to the skillet in a single layer and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 3 minutes until they start to soften.

Combine Ingredients: Return the chicken to the skillet, pour in the sesame oil, and toss everything together. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, adjusting seasoning if necessary.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve over cooked rice.
