4 slices sourdough bread

8 oz deli sliced turkey breast

4 slices sharp cheddar cheese

4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon butter

Fresh spinach or arugula (for added crunch, optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare the Spread: In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Set aside.

    Assemble the Sandwich: On two slices of sourdough bread, spread the mayo-Dijon mixture. Layer turkey slices, crumbled bacon, and cheddar cheese on top. If using, add a handful of fresh spinach or arugula.

      Cover and Butter: Place the remaining two slices of sourdough on top of the filled sandwiches. Spread butter on the outside of each sandwich.

        Grill the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet, cooking for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip and cook the other side until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.

          Slice and Serve: Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm. Enjoy your cheesy, bacon-loaded turkey melt!
