Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup ketchup

1/4 cup mustard

1 package (1 lb) pizza dough, thawed

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is softened, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Season the Beef: Add onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes until the spices are fragrant.

Add Cheese and Condiments: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in both cheeses, ketchup, and mustard until well combined. Allow the mixture to cool slightly while you prepare the dough.

Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into equal squares, about 4x4 inches.

Fill the Pockets: Take a tablespoon of the cheeseburger filling and place it in the center of each square. Be careful not to overfill!

Seal the Edges: Fold the dough square diagonally to create a triangle. Press the edges down firmly to seal, and use a fork to crimp the edges for extra security.

Prepare for Baking: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Brush the tops of the pockets with the beaten egg, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.

Bake: Place the pockets on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve: Let the cheeseburger pockets cool for a few minutes before serving. Pair with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, extra ketchup, or barbecue sauce.
