  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese freshly shredded
  • ½ cup cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine rice, cheddar cheese, mushroom soup, milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  • Fold the blanched broccoli into the cheese and rice mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.
  • Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and red pepper flakes, then sprinkle over the casserole.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.
