  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  • Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then stir in the flour for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in the whole milk and cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan until melted.
  • Combine the cheese sauce with the drained macaroni in a large bowl.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the mac and cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
