Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup salsa

1 package (8 oz) of refrigerated pizza dough

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Sour cream (for serving, optional)

Jalapeños (sliced, for serving, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the taco seasoning and follow the package instructions (usually adding water, then simmer for 5 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.

Cut the dough into strips, about 3 inches wide.

Spoon a small amount of the cooked taco mix onto one end of each dough strip. Top with a mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheese and a spoonful of salsa.

Roll the dough over the filling tightly, pinching the ends to seal. Place each rolled stick on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the tops of the sticks with the beaten egg for a shiny finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Sprinkle with chopped cilantro if desired and serve with sour cream and sliced jalapeños on the side.
