Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning mix

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced tomatoes (drained)

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/4 cup green onions, chopped

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Salsa and sour cream for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef (or turkey). Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.

Add Seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning mix and follow package instructions to add the required amount of water. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat.

Prepare Crescent Rolls: On a clean surface, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.

Assemble Taco Sticks: Take a tablespoon of the taco meat mixture and spread it at the wide end of each crescent triangle. Top with a sprinkle of shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, green onions, and olives if desired.

Roll It Up: Starting at the wide end, carefully roll each triangle into a stick, ensuring the filling is secure inside. Place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush and Bake: Brush each taco stick with the beaten egg to give it a golden-brown finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden and flaky.

Serve and Enjoy: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with salsa and sour cream on the side for dipping.
