Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 cups broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch ginger, grated

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for stir-frying)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sugar

1/4 tsp black pepper

Cooked white rice or noodles (for serving)

Sesame seeds and scallions (for garnish)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, mix the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, and black pepper. Allow the beef to marinate for at least 30 minutes for maximum flavor.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef (reserve the marinade) and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the broccoli florets and sliced red bell pepper to the pan. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.

Return the cooked beef to the pan, pour in the reserved marinade, and stir everything together. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the beef and vegetables evenly.

Serve hot over a bed of cooked white rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped scallions for added flavor and presentation.
