Ingredients

1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced

2 cups broccoli florets

1 cup carrot, thinly sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Prepare the Vegetables: While the beef is marinating, wash and chop the broccoli and carrot. Set them aside.

Heat the Wok: Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook the Beef: Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes or until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.

Sauté the Aromatics: In the same wok, add garlic and ginger. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the Vegetables: Toss the broccoli and carrots into the wok, stir-frying for about 3-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

Combine Everything: Return the cooked beef to the wok. Add the oyster sauce and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir everything together to coat thoroughly in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes.

Plate and Garnish: Serve the beef and broccoli over rice or noodles, and garnish with chopped green onions. Enjoy your flavorful dish!
