Ingredients

16 fresh strawberries (preferably large and ripe)

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil (for extra sheen)

1 tablespoon finely chopped nuts (optional, for garnish)

1 tablespoon sprinkles (optional, for garnish)

Parchment paper (for cooling)

Instructions

Preparation: Wash the strawberries thoroughly and dry them completely with paper towels. Any moisture can cause the chocolate to seize. Set aside.

    Melt the Semi-Sweet Chocolate:

      - In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil.

        - Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.

          Dip in Chocolate:

            - Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted semi-sweet chocolate, swirling it gently to coat.

              - Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the dipped strawberry on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

                Melt the White Chocolate:

                  - In another microwave-safe bowl, repeat the process with the white chocolate chips and remaining coconut oil, melting it in 20-second intervals until smooth.

                    Drizzle White Chocolate:

                      - Once the semi-sweet chocolate has set slightly but is still tacky, use a fork or a piping bag to drizzle the melted white chocolate over the chocolate-covered strawberries for a beautiful contrast.

                        Garnish (Optional):

                          - While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the finely chopped nuts or colorful sprinkles on top for added decoration and texture.

                            Chill:

                              - Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has completely hardened.

                                Serve:

                                  - Once firm, transfer the strawberries to a serving platter and enjoy them fresh at room temperature or chilled.
