Ingredients
  

  • 12 pieces lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • to taste salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • for garnish fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  • Add ground beef and pork, cooking until browned. Season with salt and pepper, then add marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a separate saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook until golden.
  • Gradually add milk, whisking until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, lasagna noodles, béchamel, Parmesan, and mozzarella. Repeat layers, finishing with béchamel and mozzarella.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and garnish with basil.
