Ingredients

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

2 cups heavy whipping cream

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/4 cup milk (whole or 2%)

A pinch of salt

Optional mix-ins: crushed cookies, chocolate chips, or fruit

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, pour the sweetened condensed milk and add the vanilla extract and salt. Whisk until well combined and smooth.

In another mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. This usually takes about 3-5 minutes.

Gently fold the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture in three increments. Use a spatula to ensure you preserve the light and airy texture of the whipped cream while fully incorporating the mix.

If desired, add in your choice of mix-ins like crushed cookies for a cookies and cream flavor, chocolate chips for a chocolate delight, or diced fruits for a fresh burst.

Pour the mixture into an airtight container, smoothing the top with a spatula. Cover the container tightly with a lid or plastic wrap.

Freeze the mixture for at least 4-6 hours, or until it is firm and scoopable.

Scoop out the ice cream into bowls or cones and serve. Enjoy your homemade condensed milk ice cream!
