Ingredients
  

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup carrots, diced

1 cup frozen peas

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 cup beef broth

2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped

½ cup milk

4 tbsp butter

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

Prepare the Mashed Potatoes: Place the peeled and chopped potatoes in a large pot. Cover them with cold water and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

    Mash the Potatoes: Add milk and butter to the drained potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

      Cook the Meat Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or turkey. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Add the diced onion, garlic, and carrots. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5 more minutes.

        Combine Ingredients: Stir in the frozen peas, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

          Assemble the Casserole: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a greased baking dish, spread the meat mixture evenly on the bottom. Carefully spoon the mashed potatoes on top, smoothing it out to cover the meat completely.

            Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the mashed potatoes.

              Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

                Serve: Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your comforting dish hot!
