Ingredients

1 lb flank steak

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and black pepper, to taste

12 slider buns

1 cup coleslaw mix

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 cup cowboy butter (see instructions below)

Fresh chives or parsley, for garnish

For Cowboy Butter:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley

Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Cowboy Butter: In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chopped parsley, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until well combined and smooth. Transfer to a piece of plastic wrap and shape into a log. Chill in the refrigerator until firm, about 30 minutes.

Season the Steak: Rub flank steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes to enhance flavor.

Cook the Steak: Preheat a grill or grill pan over high heat. Once hot, add the steak. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from grill and let rest for 10 minutes.

Prepare the Slaw: In a bowl, combine coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well and set aside.

Toast the Buns: While the steak is resting, lightly butter the slider buns and toast them on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.

Slice the Steak: After resting, slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips.

Assemble the Sliders: Spread a generous amount of cowboy butter on the bottom half of each slider bun. Layer with sliced steak, followed by a spoonful of coleslaw. Top with the other half of the bun.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh chives or parsley for an added touch. Serve the sliders warm with extra cowboy butter on the side for dipping.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 12 sliders
