Ingredients
  

1 pound chicken sausage, sliced (any flavor you prefer)

1 cup orzo pasta

3 cups chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 red bell pepper, diced

2 cups fresh spinach

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Sauté the Chicken Sausage: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Remove the sausage and set it aside.

    Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the diced onion and red bell pepper. Cook until softened (about 3-4 minutes). Stir in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for an additional minute or until fragrant.

      Add Orzo and Broth: Add the orzo to the skillet, stirring to combine with the vegetables. Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the skillet. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is al dente and most of the broth is absorbed, stirring occasionally.

        Incorporate Cream and Spinach: Stir in the heavy cream and return the browned chicken sausage to the skillet. Add the fresh spinach, cooking until wilted (about 2-3 minutes). Season with salt and pepper to taste.

          Finish with Parmesan: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

            Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your creamy, savory dish!
