Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the shrimp in a single layer and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, or until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

Create the Creamy Base: Pour in the heavy cream and stir, letting it simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Lower the heat and gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until fully melted and combined. Add the Italian seasoning and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Shrimp and Sauce: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and gently toss to coat them in the creamy sauce. Let them simmer together for another 2-3 minutes to heat through and combine flavors.

Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top for garnish and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side. This dish pairs beautifully with pasta or crusty bread.
