Ingredients

1 lb salmon fillet, skinless and deboned

1/2 cup cornstarch

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (use low-sodium for healthier option)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces (about 1-inch cubes) and season them with salt and pepper.

Coat the Bites: Place the cornstarch in a bowl. Dredge each salmon piece in cornstarch, shaking off the excess.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the salmon to achieve crispiness.

Cook the Salmon: Add the salmon bites to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic and ginger (if using). Sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant. Then, pour in the honey and soy sauce, stirring to combine.

Glaze the Bites: Add the crispy salmon bites back to the skillet. Toss the salmon in the honey garlic sauce until well coated.

Garnish and Serve: Cook for an additional minute to allow the sauce to thicken slightly. Remove from heat, garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Enjoy: Serve warm as an appetizer or main dish with rice or salad.
