Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/3 cup melted butter

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter, stirring until well combined.

Add brown sugar and granulated sugar to the banana mixture, stirring until smooth.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, mix together the baking soda, salt, flour, and cinnamon.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring just until incorporated. If using, fold in the nuts and/or chocolate chips.

Prepare your crock pot by lining it with parchment paper or using a non-stick cooking spray.

Pour the batter into the prepared crock pot. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Cover the crock pot with the lid and cook on low for about 3 to 4 hours, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Once cooked, turn off the crock pot and allow the bread to cool slightly before carefully lifting it out using the parchment paper.

Let the banana bread cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
