  • ¼ cup melted coconut oil or unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ cup honey or pure maple syrup
  • 1 large egg or flax egg for vegan alternative
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • ¼ cup raisins or chopped walnuts optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, whole wheat flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and sea salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together melted coconut oil (or applesauce), honey (or maple syrup), egg (or flax egg), and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the diced apples and optional raisins or walnuts.
