4 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a kick)

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Begin by cooking the spaghetti according to the package directions until it reaches an al dente texture. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside, reserving a small amount of pasta water.

    In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, allowing it to bubble gently.
