Ingredients

3 ripe avocados

1 small red onion, finely diced

2 medium tomatoes, diced (seeds removed)

1-2 jalapeños, finely chopped (adjust to taste)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 2 limes

Salt to taste

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)

1 clove garlic, minced (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Avocados: Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

Mash the Avocados: Using a fork or a potato masher, gently mash the avocados to your desired consistency—smooth or chunky.

Add Vegetables: Stir in the finely diced red onion, tomatoes, and chopped jalapeños into the mashed avocados until well combined.

Flavor it Up: Add the chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, cumin (if using), and minced garlic (if using). Mix everything together until evenly distributed.

Taste & Adjust: Taste your guacamole and adjust the salt and lime juice as needed.

Serve: Serve immediately with tortilla chips, or cover tightly with plastic wrap (pressing it directly onto the surface of the guacamole) to prevent browning if storing for later.
