Ingredients

2 cups almond flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 large egg whites

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon orange blossom water

1/4 teaspoon salt

Whole almonds for decoration (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, and salt. Mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg whites, vanilla extract, and orange blossom water until they become slightly frothy.

Gradually add the egg white mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently to form a sticky dough. It should hold together but not be too wet.

Using your hands, take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls about the size of a walnut. Place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving a little space between each cookie.

If desired, press a whole almond onto the top of each cookie for decoration.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden, but still soft in the center. They will harden as they cool.

Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
