Ingredients

3 ripe avocados

1 small red onion, finely diced

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 medium tomato, diced

1 fresh jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped (adjust for spice)

1 lime, juiced

¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

Use a fork or a potato masher to mash the avocados to your desired creaminess – smooth or chunky!

Add the finely diced red onion, minced garlic, diced tomato, and chopped jalapeño to the mashed avocado.

Pour in the fresh lime juice to add brightness and prevent the avocados from browning.

Stir in the chopped cilantro and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Mix everything together gently until well combined.

Taste and adjust seasoning or lime juice if needed.

Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the guacamole to prevent oxidation, and refrigerate until serving.
