Ingredients

1.5 lbs chicken thighs, boneless and skinless

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir until well mixed. Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal or cover, refrigerate, and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor).

Prepare for Cooking: Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. While it rests, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken thighs to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

Thicken the Sauce: Once the chicken is nicely browned, lower the heat and pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Bring it to a gentle simmer and cook for about 3-5 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken evenly.

Serve: Remove the skillet from heat. Slice the chicken into pieces or serve it whole, drizzling the thickened honey garlic sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Enjoy: Pair with steamed rice, sautéed vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
