  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup sugar-free marinara sauce
  • fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, almond flour, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Gently mix the ingredients until well incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
  • Scoop portions of the mixture and roll them into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  • Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring space between each.
  • Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top of each meatball.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
