Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 piece zest of lemon
  • 1 piece juice of lemon
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth and scrape up browned bits.
  • Stir in heavy cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, and dried thyme, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it, and simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes.
