Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ½ cup cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • ¼ cup green onions sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  • In a saucepan, combine cream cheese, milk, and heavy cream over medium heat until smooth.
  • Gradually add sharp cheddar and mozzarella, stirring until melted.
  • Season the cheese sauce with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until well coated.
  • Fold in crumbled bacon evenly throughout the mixture.
  • For a baked version, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and transfer to a greased baking dish.
  • Combine breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle on top if desired.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For a baked version, add breadcrumbs on top for a crunchy finish.
