1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Optional: chopped peanuts for topping

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

      Add in the eggs, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Mix until fully incorporated.

        Gradually mix in the cocoa powder until the dough is well combined and no dry cocoa remains.

          Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.

            Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie to allow for spreading.

              If desired, sprinkle some chopped peanuts on top of each cookie for added crunch.

                Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges appear set but the centers are still slightly soft. They will continue to firm up as they cool!

                  Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
