  • 2 pounds ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 can 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes, with juices
  • 1 can 15 ounces kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 ounces black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth or vegetable broth

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté diced onion for about 5 minutes until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
