Ingredients

1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 lb breakfast sausage (pork, turkey, or plant-based), cooked and crumbled

1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Roll Out the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Break it into triangles along the perforations.

Fill the Crescents: Spoon a tablespoon of the sausage-cream cheese mixture onto the wider end of each triangle. Carefully roll the dough toward the point, tucking in the sides slightly as you go to seal in the filling.

Apply Egg Wash: Place the crescents seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and puffed.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy these warm as a delightful appetizer or snack!
