Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 large onion, sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, minced

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine sliced flank steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Toss well to coat and allow it to marinate for about 15 minutes while you prepare the vegetables.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Once hot, add the marinated steak in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onions and both bell peppers. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until they are tender yet crisp.

Add minced garlic and ginger to the vegetable mixture. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Return the cooked steak to the pan. Mix in the oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir-fry everything together for an additional 2 minutes to ensure it’s heated through and well combined.

Serve the sizzling pepper steak and vegetables over a bed of cooked rice or noodles. Enjoy the burst of flavors!
