Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 2 bags black tea
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 3-4 whole cloves
  • 3-4 pods cardamom
  • 1 inch fresh ginger
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 cup milk
  • fresh cranberries for garnish
  • cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat until boiling.
  • Add black tea bags, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, and sliced ginger to the boiling water.
  • Lower the heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  • Remove tea bags and strain out the spices from the saucepan.
  • Stir in unsweetened cranberry juice and sweeten with honey or maple syrup to taste.
  • Warm the mixture for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a separate saucepan, gently heat the milk over low heat until warm.
  • Pour the hot cranberry chai into mugs, filling them three-quarters full.
  • Top each mug with warm frothed milk.
  • Garnish with fresh cranberries and a cinnamon stick if desired.

Notes

For a creamier texture, froth the milk before adding it to the chai.
