Ingredients

For the Steak:

1 lb flank steak

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

2 teaspoons sesame oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)

For the Rotini:

8 oz rotini pasta

2 cups broccoli florets

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Cook the Rotini: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rotini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pot. Drain the pasta and broccoli, then return them to the pot. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and toss with grated Parmesan cheese. Set aside.

Cook the Steak: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade (discard the marinade) and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer depending on your preferred doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the reserved marinade (if you cooked it separately) or a mix of soy sauce and honey with a splash of water to create a quick sauce, stirring to combine until it thickens slightly (about 2-3 minutes).

Serve: Slice the steak against the grain and serve it over the rotini with the broccoli. Drizzle the sticky honey garlic sauce over the top and garnish with fresh parsley. Enjoy your delightful meal!
