Ingredients

12 Sweet Hawaiian rolls, cubed

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)

Maple syrup for serving

Powdered sugar for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk until well combined.

Gently fold in the cubed Sweet Hawaiian rolls, making sure each piece is soaked in the egg mixture. Allow it to soak for about 15 minutes.

Add the crushed pineapple and shredded coconut (if using) to the mixture, stirring carefully to incorporate without breaking up the rolls too much.

Pour the entire mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set in the center.

Once baked, let it cool for about 5 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup on top. Enjoy your delicious Sweet Hawaiian Roll French Toast Bake!
