Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 1/4 cups milk

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (plus extra for the skillet)

Optional toppings: fresh fruits, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, or caramel sauce

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking until you have a smooth batter. Let it rest for about 30 minutes (this helps to create more tender crepes).

Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat; lightly grease with butter.

Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the center of the skillet and immediately swirl the pan to evenly coat the bottom with the batter.

Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges start to lift and the bottom is lightly golden. Carefully flip the crepe using a spatula and cook for an additional 1 minute.

Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet as needed. Stack the cooked crepes on a plate.

Serve warm with your choice of toppings. Roll or fold the crepes, then drizzle with sauces or layer with fruits and whipped cream.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 4 (makes about 8 crepes)
