Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

4 whole wheat burger buns

Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, avocado, or arugula

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick.

Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the patties to the skillet.

Cook the patties for about 6-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes on the other side, until they are cooked through and have a nice golden-brown color on both sides. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

While the burgers are cooking, you may toast the burger buns in a separate pan or toaster for added texture and flavor.

Assemble your burgers by placing each chicken patty on a toasted bun. Add your desired toppings, such as sliced tomatoes, avocado, or arugula.

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers!
