Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1 clove garlic, minced

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Burger buns

Optional toppings: avocado slices, tomato, lettuce, and more white cheddar cheese

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped onion, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, roughly 1/2 inch thick.

Heat an olive oil-coated skillet or grill over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties.

Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F and are golden brown on the outside.

Optional: If you like your cheese extra melty, place an additional slice of white cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover the skillet briefly to help the cheese melt.

Remove the patties from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on the buns and adding your desired toppings like avocado slices, tomato, and lettuce.

Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful, cheesy, and nutritious chicken burgers!
