Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Olive oil, for grilling

Burger buns

Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, and extra white cheddar cheese

Instructions

Prep the spinach: In a small pan, sauté the chopped spinach with a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until wilted. Set aside to cool slightly.

Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, sautéed spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Form patties: Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into burger patties (about 4-6 patties, depending on your desired thickness).

Preheat the grill: Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat and brush lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Cook the burgers: Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the outside is golden brown.

Toast the buns (optional): If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

Assemble the burgers: Layer the cooked chicken burger patty on the toasted bun and top with your favorite toppings such as sliced tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, and an additional slice of white cheddar cheese, if desired.

Serve: Enjoy your White Cheddar & Spinach Chicken Burgers hot, with a side of crispy fries or a fresh salad!
