Ingredients

2 cups of whole milk

1 cup of heavy cream

1 cup of white chocolate chips

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon of almond extract (optional)

A pinch of salt

Whipped cream (for topping)

Crushed candy canes or white chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine the whole milk and heavy cream over medium heat. Stir occasionally until heated through but not boiling.

Once the mixture is warm, reduce the heat to low and add in the white chocolate chips, vanilla extract, almond extract (if using), and a pinch of salt. Stir continuously until the white chocolate has completely melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Remove the saucepan from heat. Taste the hot chocolate and adjust sweetness or flavor with additional vanilla or almond extract as desired.

Pour the white hot chocolate into mugs and top generously with whipped cream.

Finish by garnishing with crushed candy canes or white chocolate shavings for an extra festive touch.
